On Saturday night June 19th Jason Willis became the fourth different winner in four races when he took home the victory at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Madison, Ind. Willis started the feature in seventh place and steadily worked his way through the field. On lap 15 he got around polesitter Caleb Faulkner and went on to lead the final 11 laps to score the fifth MTQRL feature win of his career.
Following Willis to the checkers were Tate Martz, Faulkner, Rick Robinson, CJ Leary, Chris Mann, Chris Guinn, Brett Hankins, Nick Speidel and Will Wilson. Martz set quick time and heat winners were Kyle Lux, Wilson, Mann and Willis.
Guinn won the Jackson Oil & Solvents Duel for Fuel, Willis won the Ward's Apparel Hard Charger Award by advancing six places in the feature, Faulkner was the Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Race, and Martz made the INOX Slick Move of the Race. Tim Lynch, who was in second place in the season standings going into this race, broke a timing chain in hot laps and was named the Duane & Sonja Alexander Hard Luck Driver.
Martz regains the point lead in the season standings with a 7 point advantage over Speidel. Guinn is in third place followed by Leary and Kenny Byrge and Lynch who are tied for fifth place.
