Tim Lynch was the winner on Saturday night May 15th when the Midwest TQ Racing LeagueTM presented by Vincennes University three quarter midgets competed at the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Ind.
Polesitter Kenny Byrge led the field at the drop of the green until a hard charging Rick Robinson took over the point at the beginning of lap 2. Robinson's car began to show signs of smoke as he pulled away from the field. With Robinson leading, both Tim Lynch & Nick Speidel began to pressure Byrge for the runner up spot.
Lynch had gotten by Byrge when Robinson's engine finally let go on lap 14. Lynch took over the top spot and went on to lead the final 7 laps to take the win over Speidel, Byrge, rookie CJ Leary and Chris Guinn. Lynch's victory was the second of his MTQRL career and his tenth top three finish in 13 career starts.
Speidel is the new point leader with only 12 points separating the top four drivers of Speidel, Byrge, Tate Martz and Lynch.
Robinson was named the Duane & Sonja Alexander Hard Luck Driver, Tim Lynch received the INOX Slick Move of the Race, CJ Leary was the Tony Stewart Racing Rookie of the Race and Caleb Faulkner passed eight cars to claim the Ward's Apparel Hard Charger Award.
