March, 09, 2010 Tony Stewart Rookie of the Year Program

The Midwest TQ Racing LeagueTM presented by Vincennes University is pleased to announce that the 2010 Rookie of the Year program will be sponsored by Tony Stewart Racing. The program will award the highest finishing rookie in each race a $50 bonus and at season's end the Rookie of the Year will receive the Tony Stewart Rookie of the Year trophy and $250. Second in the rookie standings will receive $150 and third $100. Should any race get rained out, the bonus money will roll over to yearend awards.

Tony Stewart is a graduate of TQ racing where he collected 11 feature wins before moving on to USAC where he won the midget title in 1994 and won the Triple Crown (silver crown, sprint and midget titles) in 1995. Tony was the 1997 Indy Racing League Champion and is a two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion. He has won the All State 400 at the Brickyard twice and is the 2006 IROC Champion.

Tony has never forgotten his background and continues his support of grassroots racing through sponsorships, race team ownership and the crown jewel of dirt track racing, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The MTQRL is pleased to work with Tony in the development of young talent through the Rookie of the Year program.
