12.20 Fuel System
E. Methanol fuel only. No fuel enhancements are allowed. Top end lubes are
permissible in the manufacturer’s recommended ratio.
1. Any properly licensed owner or driver that is competing in the event
may protest the legality of another competitor’s fuel using the following
a. The protest must be filed in writing with the Chief Steward or
Race Director within ten (10) minutes of the conclusion of the
b. There will be a protest fee of $550.00 to cover the cost of testing
the fuel which will be due at the time the protest is filed.
c. If the fuel is found to be legal the protesting party will forfeit the
protest fee to the MTQRL to cover the cost of testing.
d. If the fuel is found to be illegal the protesting party will be
reimbursed the full $550.00 protest fee.
e. Any competitors found to have illegal fuel will be assessed the

that event and all points earned for the season.
ii. Both the owner and driver shall be suspended from all
MTQRL events for a period of 12 months (365 days) from
the date they are issued the penalty.
iii. Both the owner and driver shall be assessed a fine of
$500.00 each. If the owner and driver are the same person
the fine will be $1,000.00.
