Vincennes University Becomes the First Institute of Higher Learning in the State of Indiana to Become a Title Sponsor for a Racing Series

 

The Midwest TQ Racing League™ presented by Vincennes University is pleased to announce that the 2010 Rookie of the Year program will be sponsored by Tony Stewart Racing.  The program will award the highest finishing rookie in each race a $50 bonus and at season's end the Rookie of the Year will receive the Tony Stewart Rookie of the Year trophy and $250.  Second in the rookie standings will receive $150 and third $100.  Should any race get rained out, the bonus money will roll over to the yearend awards.

Tony Stewart is a graduate of TQ racing where he collected 11 feature wins before moving on to USAC where he won the midget title in 1994 and won the Triple Crown in 1995.  Tony was the 1997 Indy Racing League Champion and is a two time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion.   He has won the Allstate 400 at the Brickyard twice and is the 2006 IROC Champion.

Tony has never forgotten his background and continues his support of grass root racing through sponsorships, race team ownership and the crown jewel of dirt track racing, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.  The MTQRL is pleased to work with Tony in the development of young talent through the Rookie of the Year program.

 

Meeting Notes:

$1000 to win Green Tech Shootout at Rushville on July 4th

Green Tech Tail Gunner Challenge that will give pole sitters a chance to earn bonus money by starting at the back of the pack.
 
Cozzolino Motorsport's perfect attendance award for car owners, that will offer cash awards and shop time on the Cozzolino chassis dyno.
 
Rookie of the Year, a $50 bonus to the top finishing rookie in the feature and end of year cash awards for the top three rookies.
 
Wards Apparel Hard Charger Award, $50 gift certificate to the driver that advances his position the most in the feature.
 
Steve Brown's Paradise Performance Owner's Hard Luck Award as voted on by the owners, drivers and officials.
 
Jackson Oil will again present the Jackson Oil Duel for Fuel for the fastest four qualifiers.
 
$50 Jackson Oil Gift Certificate and $50 Wards Apparel Gift Certificate to be drawn at the driver's meeting.
 
 
2010 MTQRL REGISTRATION

The Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Vincennes University is accepting applications for 2010 Driver Registration and Car Registration. 

Remember, all cars and drivers must be registered with the MTQRL to compete in any MTQRL sanctioned events.

January, 31, 2010 Nick Spiedel for winning the TQ Winter Nationals

The Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Vincennes University congratulates Nick Spiedel for winning the TQ Winter Nationals last week in Punta Gorda, Florida. Nick also set quick time and won his heat race. Nick won the final two races of the 2009 MTQRL season and will contend for the 2010 championship when the season begins on April 24 at Twin Cities Raceway Park.
 

January, 30, 2010 Indy Circle Track Expo 10

 

Once again this year the Midwest TQ Racing League presented by Vincennes University participated in the Indy Circle Track Expo on Saturday, January 30 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.  It was difficult to miss the booth as the Vincennes University flag flew 15 feet in the air overhead.
